"Carno-Carpet"

Films: The Creeping Terror (1964)

Alias: None

Type: Alien

Location: Eldritch Location/Forest/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: As big as an adult rhinoceros.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: The threat of a monster is often measured by how easily it can kill things. In this dingus' case, he didn't even have to try. Everyone just offered themselves to it and its partner. If that didn't happen, its invasion would have been dead in the water.

History: Somewhere in California, a spacecraft crashed into the woods. Out of it came two bizarre techno-organic beings seeking knowledge for a potential takeover. To gather that intelligence, they would consume everything, mostly the humans. And these humans seemed to be keen to provide it. Not intentionally, of course. They all just seem stupid.

Notable Kills: People just sit/stand there and get eaten by these things. It's pitiful.

Final Fate: The first one gets a grenade to the face, and the other gets run over. But even after these unceremonious fates, their signal and message back home has been broadcasted. But as one points out, the human race will either be too advanced or dead for it to be a threat by the time the signal gets there.

Powers/Abilities: By consuming something, the creatures gain its intelligence.

Weakness: Anything of significant force.

Scariness Factor: 1-These pondering, carpet-like beings move with all the speed of a three-toed sloth that's contacted leprosy, and yet because this film demands they SOMEHOW be a threat, no one moves a finger whenever they pop up so that they may eat. Again, it's pitiful.

Trivia: -The director/producer/editor/star of this film, Victor Savage, rode on the coattails of the brother of his writer Robert Silliphant, without his consent, in order to get this film off the ground. Oh, and he had to hastily replicate the original creature prop right before shooting after not paying the guy who made it. He promised many investors that he'd give them a share of what was gained from the film...

-...Only for karma to kick in and leave him with barely anything to offer after the disjointed and critically-mauled film failed to achieve anything. The Silliphants felt cheated and used, while Savage disappeared without a trace once the legal system caught up with his shady ass.

And it's all downhill from here.

This is basically the whole movie summed up in one image.

He actually did that? Well, now we KNOW it's fake.
And, whatever you do, don't actually struggle to get inside the creature!

Thus, the movie ends in 4 seconds.

The last thing an idiot sees.
